Dr Farber actually seatrtd a movement called the Mad Pride Movement. I concur with Dr. Farber in that generations after our time will look back at this era and see it as the dark ages. (paraphrasing Dr. Farber) In other words, he was saying, the dark ages of mental health drugs and psychiatry. Almost every woman I meet nowadays is on some sort of antidepressant drug, ADHD med, or bipolar meds. Is society trying to stop feminism or women’s speech and rights? How can women speak and be heard if most woman are doped up on psych drugs that make them feel nothing? The woman feels no emotions, and brain is fuzzy, the drugs often make the woman lethargic. This begs the question, it seems more woman than men are on these drugs .why? Psychiatrists are not all knowing and we should not treat them as such. They merely give an opinion, not a fact, unless it is a physical issue that shows on a scan of the brain. Psych docs hand out labels as we discussed previously, but it is my opinion, after much research, they don’t know what in the hell they are talking about, and are supporting the massive lobbying of the pharmaceutical companies .passing out scripts like candy canes at Christmas not caring about the implications to the person’s health or life. Why should we trust in a system that involves drug companies, insurance, and doctors that all have one main goal money. $$$ = hidden agendas for psych docs Not all psych docs, but some, I don’t want to stereotype all psych docs here, there are a few who do not dope up every patient ..very few.
